Description –

The “Dar Zayed” table or bench (translation “Home of Zayed”) was produced in celebration of the UAE national day in the Year of Zayed 2018. It was inspired by one of the late HH Sheikh Zayed’s strongest values and most notable achievements, creating unity, and bringing all 7 emirates together to create one of most successful countries in the history of national development. The top of the piece, in Walnut wood, is an abstract outline of the map of the UAE, and has discreet carvings which also depict the 7 different Emirates in abstract triangles. This top is elevated and “carried” by the joint forces of 7 thin legs in steel showing the strength of the Emirates’ unity. This unique piece and celebration of the UAE was designed and produced by Dubai-based furniture design studio and production house: The Line Concept.
